Toshiba Hard Drive Recovery: Recover Lost/Deleted Files Instantly!

Have you accidentally deleted crucial data from your Toshiba hard drive? Or did the hard drive die on you, and now you are worried about the data it had? There are a lot of scenarios where you may lose your data. And unfortunately, a common user is unable to avoid them. The only thing you can do is ensure you use the best available resources and keep the data intact.

That is also why users prefer going for a reliable brand like Toshiba, as the hard drivers they have to offer are considered rock solid when it comes to getting corrupt or malfunctioning.

However, one can not avoid an issue without diligence and sincerity.  Many users have lost their data while using Toshiba hard drives due to their wrong choices. Sometimes it is because of a corrupt file, while others, it is a mistake. But eventually, that does not matter.

What matters is how to recover deleted files from a Toshiba hard drive. You have reached the perfect spot if you are also one of many Toshiba users who have accidentally deleted important files and are looking for a way to recover them.

However, before we start with ways to recover deleted files from Toshiba hard drives, let us first identify if it is possible.

Can You Recover Deleted Files from Toshiba Hard Drives?

Yes, as long as you have not completely overwritten the drive. It is possible to recover files from a Toshiba hard drive. However, it also depends on what type of drive you are using.

Currently, Toshiba has 3 types of hard drives in the market. These are –

  1. Toshiba Internal Hard Drives
  2. Toshiba External Drives
  3. Toshiba SSDs

If we talk about Toshiba’s internal and external hard drives, the degree of data recovery is almost similar. These devices allow data recovery provided the drives are not overused after a file is lost or deleted.

However, things may get tricky if data is lost from an SSD. That is because solid-state drives use TRIM, which specifies which drive cells should be overwritten on priority, making it impossible to recover the data. But the good news here is that not every Toshiba SSD has this command enabled, so you do have a chance to recover files from it.

All in all, it is possible to recover deleted files from all three types of drives that the brand has to offer.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Approaching Delete Files Recovery

Recovering data is not an easy feat to achieve. You must be careful while performing the tasks, as a wrong move may lead to irreparable damage. Before you move ahead and learn about the ways to recover deleted files from Toshiba hard drives, here are some tips to remember –

Tip 1 – Create a backup of whatever data you have left on the drive. Even if you are thriving to recover lost data, you should keep the current data safe.

Tip 2 – Do not format the drive at any cost. Some users believe data recovery works better when no data is left on the drive. It is nothing but a myth that should be avoided.

Tip 3 – Avoid using the drive you want to recover data from. Data recovery is based on a hard drive’s capabilities of holding the data in cells and roots. If these cells and roots are overwritten due to usage, it may get difficult to recover data.

How to Recover Deleted Files From Toshiba Hard Drives?

Now that you know that it is possible to recover data and things to keep in mind while recovering the data, let us look at some ways that may help you do it efficiently.

Method #1 – Use Advanced File Recovery Tool

Data recovery is something that one should avoid approaching manually. That is because every operation you carry out on the drive buries your lost data deeper, which makes it more difficult to recover.

Research On File Recovery: The Science Behind Retrieving Your Lost Files

Advanced File Recovery is one of the most reliable and affordable solutions for recovering deleted files from Toshiba hard drives. To use the tool, all you need to do is follow the steps given below –

Step 1 – Download the Advanced File Recovery application from the link below.

Step 2 – After installing the application, run it on your computer to find a clean user interface that clarifies what to do next.

Step 3 – You can find all the connected drives on the home screen. Simply select the drive you want to recover files from.
Step 4 – After selecting the drive, click on next to identify what sort of file you want to recover. If you want to recover all the files, simply select Scan All Data and click Start Scan.

Step 5 –  Let the software detect all the deleted files. Depending on how much data you are trying to recover, this may take some time.

Step 6 – Once the scan is over, you have a list of all the data the software could find for recovery. You can browse through the files to ensure it has the files you wanted.
Step 7 – Once you are convinced that you see the files you wanted, click on Recover Now and select a destination folder for the recovered files to be saved.

You should not use the same drive as the saving destination, as it may hamper the processing.  Once you have chosen the file’s location, the application will automatically start recovering the files.

Method #2 – Try Windows File Recovery Software

Windows File Recovery is Microsoft’s free data recovery assisting software that may help recover files from Toshiba Hard Drive.

To use the application –
Step 1 – Go to Microsoft Store and download the application.

Step 2 – Use Command – winfr X: Y:\RecoveredFiles /regular. X represents the drive you want to recover the files from and Y refers to the drive for recovered files.

Step 3 – Hit enter and let the command run accordingly to identify the details of the drive.
Step 4 – Once it has processed the data, it will ask you to continue. Press Y to initiate the process.

Keep in mind that this application (as per user reviews) is great to use with recently deleted/lost files. If you want to recover older files, Advanced File Recovery is still the best option.
