If you want to connect an audio device to your PC wirelessly, you need Bluetooth. Some users have reported that the Bluetooth is not showing in the Device Manager issue. In this case, they cannot connect or configure any device via Bluetooth. This guide will help you fix the “No Bluetooth In The Device Manager” issue quickly and easily.
The error occurs if the Bluetooth is hidden in the Device Manager, the Bluetooth dongle is defective, or the system files are corrupted. We have explained all the best possible methods to fix this issue.
To troubleshoot Bluetooth not showing in Device Manager, you will first need to check whether or not the device is hidden. Once that is done, follow the below solutions to bring Bluetooth back to Device Manager.
Windows does not display all the devices in the Device Manager default view. There are some hidden devices, and Bluetooth devices are probably some. Here is what you need to do to view them:
Step 1: Press Win + X to open the Power menu and choose Device Manager.
Step 2: A new window will open where you have to Click on the View tab and choose “Show Hidden Devices.”
Step 3: All the hidden devices will now be displayed, you can check for the Bluetooth devices.
Some computers do not have an in-built Bluetooth adapter and require the user to connect an external dongle via USB. Unplug the Bluetooth dongle and plug it into a different USB port if that is the case. If it still does not work, plug this dongle into a different PC to ensure it works fine. Otherwise, you will have to purchase a new Bluetooth dongle.
As mentioned above, the Bluetooth dongle is plugged into the USB port, so if the Dongle works fine on another PC, it is the fault within your USB ports. There is a 0.01% chance that all your USB ports get physically damaged simultaneously, which means if they are not working, it has something to do with the drivers. You will have to update the drivers and eliminate outdated and corrupt drivers. This can be done in three ways:
You can visit the PC manufacturer’s website and download the USB drivers that are compatible with your PC’s make and model. Install the latest drivers and restart your PC before plugging in the Bluetooth Dongle.
The Device Manager is a built-in tool that can be accessed by the Power Menu (Win + X). Locate USB Controllers at the end of the list and click on it. It will reveal all the USB ports. Right-click on each one and choose Update Driver from the context menu.
The Advanced Driver Updater is an automated driver updater tool that can scan, identify, and fix driver anomalies on your PC. Here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Download and Install Advanced Driver Updater from the link below.
Step 2: Open the app and click the Start Scan Now button.
Step 3: Click on the Update link next to the USB drivers and reboot your PC after the process completes.
Turning on Flight Mode on a Windows computer is a convenient method to turn off wireless connections like Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi. Therefore, Bluetooth drivers may not appear in Device Manager if your computer has a problem with Flight Mode. Open Action Center, then make sure that Flight Mode is not enabled. If it is already off, turn it back on after a few minutes.
