My touchpad doesn’t work some times it never works but sometimes after few restarts it starts working and stops again pleas what can I do abt this ?

  9. Avatar for Preeti Seth Preeti Seth says:

    Dear Alex,

We are sorry to hear that even after
    Updating the driver
    Adjusting touchpad settings
Removing external interference you are still facing the issue.

To fix it we suggest you check if your touchpad settings include a “PalmCheck” feature. If it’s available, adjust the sensitivity or disable it to see if it helps.

If this doesn’t help check for laptop’s BIOS/UEFI firmware update. Sometimes, HP releases updates that address hardware-related issues.

If this doesn’t work either you will have to perform a System Restore to revert your system to a point where the touchpad was working correctly. Be cautious with this option, as it will undo changes made to the system since the restore point.

Back up your important data before attempting any major changes to your system.
