Step 1 – Press Win + R to bring up the run search.
Step 2 – In the Run, use the command-control firewall.cpl
Step 3 – In the pop-up window, find the Turn Windows Defender Off or On option in the left pane.
Step 5 – After doing all of it, try relaunching the game, and you may find it is running fine.
If the game does not run after changing these settings, revert them and enable Defender before moving to the next fix. If it does, you must add the game to the exceptions list. You can run the game once you do that, even when the Defender is enabled.
Step 1 – Launch the game to check if it goes through or shows a black screen. Return to your home screen if it is stuck on a black screen.
Step 2 – From your home screen, open the browser and download the Advanced Driver Updater. We will be using this tool to update outdated drivers of your PC.
Step 3 – After downloading and installing the driver updater, launch the application and click Start Scan Now.
Step 4 – The scan will inform you about outdated drivers on your PC. While playing a game similar to Armored Core VI, several drivers are involved, such as your graphics, audio, network, etc. With this scan, you will learn whether all of them are updated.
Step 5 – Once the scan results are available, go through the list of available updates and update the driver. If you use the trial version, you must update each driver individually. However, paid users can update them all using the Update All button.
Step 6 – Restart the PC to apply changes.
You must update the drivers, as without them, the game might not work fine on your PC. If you are wondering if there is a manual way to do it, check out how to update drivers on Windows.
If you have corrupt system files, your PC may not be able to handle the Armored Core 6 properly. To fix it, run the System File Checker and fix any corrupt system files. To do so, follow these steps:
Step 1 – Go to the start menu and type CMD in the search field.
Step 2 – Open Command Prompt as administrator from the menu.
Step 3 – Use the command – sfc /scannow in the Command Prompt.
Step 4 – Let the scan take its time and run properly. Do not close the CMD window, as it will abort the scan too.
Step 5 – Restart your PC after the scan. System File Checker will fix corrupt system files.
Other than these fixes, you always have the option to uninstall and reinstall your game if you doubt the installation error. If you are using Steam for the gameplay, you can also check the integrity of your game files using the Local Files option on your Steam client. Fortunately, these fixes have done the trick for many and will do the same for you.
