Editing faster in Fortnite requires a lot of practice to master. However, sometimes a glitch does not allow a user to achieve the desired speed, irrespective of their skills. The delay errors are truly a nightmare for a serious Fortnite player.

The network you are connected to also plays a crucial role in the edit speed of Fortnite. Hence if the delay you experience is occasional, the network is likely causing the same. To enhance your speed of editing, you must try to replace your Wi-Fi network with a physical ethernet cable that allows you to reduce the delay in the network and makes it even faster for you to edit and process the game.
This fix has helped many users and is a must-try when playing Fortnite on Windows.

When you play the game often, many temporary files are created on your PC. These files are ideally created to speed up the loading process. However, when multiple files of similar states are available, the loading process might take longer. Not to mention, the editing glitch and delay issues on Fortnite appear only due to slow loading.
Removing these temporary files on Windows is the best way to resolve the issues.
Step 1 – Press Windows + R to bring up the run search.
Step 2 – In the Run, use the command %temp% and hit enter.
Step 3 – The above command will fetch you a folder that contains all the temporary files.
Step 4 – Press Ctrl+A to instantly select all the files and delete them.
Removing all these files may help you eliminate the slow loading, poor edit speed, and delay errors on Fortnite.
Drivers related to the game refer to all the components that a game uses. Primarily these include your GPU drivers, Network adapters, and mouse drivers. All these contribute to a smooth experience while playing the game. Hence, issues with any of these drivers may affect the overall performance, including the edit speeds.
Identifying if Your PC Drivers Need Updates! Is there a Way?
Updating these drivers is the best thing to do. But, if you know how to update drivers on Windows manually, you might understand that it is time-consuming to find multiple devices in the Device Manager and update drivers manually.
In such situations, the ideal way is to go for a dedicated driver updater tool that does the job for you. We recommend you go for Advanced Driver Updater as it has a wide database of drivers regularly updated to feed your machine just the right version of the drivers.

Step 4 – After the scan, you have a list of all the drivers that need updating.
Step 5 – Click on Update all and relax while the tool does its job,
Restart the PC after driver updates are completed. Launch the game, and you will surely experience improved gaming quality with faster edit speeds in Fortnite.
Besides these 5 fixes, you can verify the game files’ integrity to know the files are not corrupt. The Epic Games Launcher has an integrated checking mechanism. Simply go to the game and find the option that says verify.
The complete path to the option looks like this –
Library→ Fortnite → Three Dotted Options→ Verify
With the help of these fixes, the Fortnite edit glitch will be removed from your PC. If it still gives you trouble, you can change the hardware starting from the controller you use.
