How To Fix Sound Not Working On Lenovo Laptop

  • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar > Open sound settings.

  • Scroll down > select App volume and device preferences.
  • The apps you use to listen to music should not be muted, and the output and input options are correctly chosen.

  • Try to play sound again.

  • Right-click the sound icon > select Sounds.

  • Click the Playback tab >  select your speakers (Default) > click on Properties.

4. Uninstall The Sound Driver From Device Manager

  • Press Win+Xkeys > select Device Manager from the context menu.

5. Update The Audio Driver

1. Update the drivers manually

  • Press the Windows + X keys > select Device Manager.
  • Go to the Sound, video, and game controllers category. Double click on it to expand it and see all installed audio devices. Right-click on the audio device >Update driver.
